Griffith Barracks School

Griffith Barracks School

Completed work on the sash windows at this grade listed building which was first build in 1813 as a remand prison and known as Grimswoods Nurseries. From 1994 it was re-opened and the old Guardhouse was converted by volunteer parents and supporters of the school, even the children helped with the painting! The children voted in May 1998 to call their school Griffith Barracks National School. They have since changed it to Griffith Barracks Multi-Denominational School to better reflect the ethos of the school.

All sash window refurbishments now include our very own product “Slim-Glaze” Winner of the architect choice awards for best exterior product, voted by The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland, it has been widely recognised as the number one choice for specialist glazing or retrofitting into traditional timber frames which were once only designed to carry standard single glazing.
